The experiences, and rants of a Nerdy, Politically Independent, Hedge Druid Living in Rural Arizona

Pleased to meet you

Hello and welcome to the High Desert Druid.  My name is Jack and this is, what I hope will be, my small contribution to the pagan community at large.  I figure before I begin, some sort of introduction is in order.

If you haven’t guessed by the title, I’m a practitioner of Druidry and I live in the High Deserts of Northern Arizona.  More specifically on a little farm out in the country with my wife, our dogs, cats, chickens and peafowl.  The nearest town is a postage stamp sized community about forty five minutes away from our home.  It’s a simple life, though not nearly as easy as some would think.  That said, I love it and wouldn’t change in for the world.

Now, as for the blog itself.  I’d be lying if I said I haven’t toyed with this idea for many years.  I’ve even tried a few soft launches here and there, but could never find a theme that stuck.  It wasn’t until this last year that I realized, the idea of a specific theme was pretty pointless.  I’m not one thing.  I like all humans, I am a myriad of “themes”.  I’m a Pagan, a Druid, a Zen Buddhist, a History and Culture nerd, an astronomy (not astrology) nerd, a Farmer, a Husband, a Pet Parent, a Lover of fine Teas, and a Gamer.

So I figure though the focus of this blog will be from my experiences of nearly three decades of pagan practice, there’ll certainly be a little bit of everything in here.  From the mundane to the spiritual and everything in between.  So, with that said, welcome, I hope you find something of value here or at least a bit of entertainment.
